Why there is a real free plan
A small team should not need a budget to stop using paper.
Five people at one location is a real business with a real attendance problem. It is also exactly the size where buying a terminal makes no sense. So that case is free, and the plans grow with the business rather than gating the basics.

How many employees can use the free plan?
Up to 5 employees, at one location, with one admin account. Standard raises that to 20 employees and 3 locations, and Premium to 40 employees and 10 locations.
What is not included in the free attendance app?
Reports and exports start at Standard. Attendance corrections and the optional payroll tools start at Premium. Everything in the daily clock-in workflow — clocking in and out, attendance history, schedules and leave requests — is in the Free plan.
Do employees need an attendance machine or fingerprint scanner?
No. Employees clock in and out from the SlidesClock app on their own phone. There is no fingerprint reader, badge or wall terminal in the clock-in flow.
Can employees change the time on an attendance record?
No. The time is generated by the server, not read from the phone, so changing a handset clock does not change when a shift is recorded as starting. An employee can request a correction, which a manager reviews; the original event stays in the record.
