We built SlidesClock on a straightforward belief: workplace accountability should never require invasive 24/7 employee surveillance or fragile hardware terminals.
Why we started SlidesClock
Traditional attendance systems tend to arrive in three unsatisfying shapes:
1. Hardware Fingerprint Scanners
Expensive to purchase and install at every single branch. They fail constantly in dusty environments, outdoor work, hospitality, and whenever hands are wet or greasy.
2. Paper Sign-in Sheets
Messy, slow, and impossible to audit. Hours must be manually transcribed into spreadsheets at the end of the month, inviting disputes and errors.
3. Invasive Spyware Apps
Enterprise mobile apps that track an employee's GPS location 24 hours a day, draining their personal phone batteries and destroying team trust.
SlidesClock started with frontline businesses in Cambodia, where all three of those problems are easy to find in a single afternoon — and none of them are local. They are how most of the world still records attendance. We set out to design a tool that managers and staff anywhere actually enjoy using: open the app, slide once to start work, and go.

Zero Continuous Surveillance
Coordinates are checked only at the exact second an employee slides to clock in or out under a workplace policy. SlidesClock never runs continuous background location tracking or drains employee phone batteries.
Server-Authoritative Timestamps
Handset clocks can be altered manually or fall out of sync. Every punch in SlidesClock is generated directly on our secure cloud servers, ensuring audit records cannot be spoofed.
Immutable Audit Trails
Original attendance records are never overwritten or deleted behind closed doors. When an employee forgets or needs an adjustment, corrections require an audited reason and supervisor approval.
